Just wanted to share my quick little guide on navigating grocery shopping with the goal of having a happy, healthy gut!

A little reminder that its important to have a diverse and wholesome diet in order to have a happy gut-microbiome. Our gut health influences our overall health, including how our brain functions and hormone regulation.
There are so many benefits to having good gut-health like less bloating, clearer skin, overall better energy regulation, decreased risk of cognitive decline and chronic diseases... so why not take care of it?
Prioritize Protein
Plan your meals around protein, especially lean protein! It's important for recovery and rebuilding muscles, tissues, and bones. It also aids to keep us more satiated with our meals, and balances our blood-sugar levels.
Fresh and Seasonal Produce
Stick to the produce section as much as possible. This allows you to incorporate more vegetables and fruit in-season. When they are in season, it is highest in their nutrient value and tastes even better too!
Fermented Foods
Great source of probiotics that are important and provide good bacteria to our gut! This aids digestion and boosts immunity.
Healthy Fats
Healthy fats are critical for our overall health and hormone regulation. They also benefit our gut, skin, hair, nails and brain health.
